Your first wax,
without the nerves.

Nearly everyone who books a first wax has spent a week talking themselves into it. Here is exactly what happens, what to do before and after, and honest answers to the things people would rather not ask out loud.

Before & After

The 48 hours either side do most of the work. Screenshot this bit.

Before you come in

  • A good rule of thumb is to plan your wax every 3–4 weeks. Hair should be about the length of a grain of rice.
  • Exfoliate gently 24 to 48 hours ahead, not the same day.
  • Skip retinol, AHAs, and strong exfoliants on the area for 48 hours.
  • Arrive clean and dry. No heavy lotion or oil on the skin.
  • Mention any medication or skin condition when you book.

For 24 hours after

  • Stay cool: No exercise, direct sun, hot baths, saunas, or hot tubs.
  • Stay clean: No creams, gels, or oils for 24 hours.
  • Take care: Exfoliating will help prevent pesky ingrowns from forming. We carry scrubs, dry brushes, and lotions to keep you smooth between appointments.

Our Wax

We import luxury hard wax, which is a strange thing to do until you have felt the difference. Hard wax wraps the hair and releases the skin. Strip wax pulls both.

Natural Beeswax Blend
Titanium dioxide and Micro Mia protect the skin as the wax lifts. High-grade polymers mean it wraps the hair shaft and lets go of everything else.
Superhero Wax
Takes hair as short as 1mm — the stubborn, fine, and sparse growth that ordinary wax slides straight over. This is the one that saves an appointment you thought you were too early for.

Allergic to beeswax? Say so. We alternate formulations for it.

Questions people actually ask

Including the ones they whisper.

Does it hurt?

We won’t lie to you: it’s not a spa massage. But our imported luxury wax and speedy waxologists keep the ouch to a quick “oh!” rather than a long “OWWW.” And it gets easier every visit, promise.

Is it awkward getting a Brazilian?

Maybe for you, for about 30 seconds. For us, it’s Tuesday. Our team has seen it all and waxed it all, and we’ll have you in and out before you can blush.

How long should my hair be?

About the length of a grain of rice (roughly ¼ inch), usually 2 to 4 weeks of growth. Too short and the wax can’t grab it. Too long and we’ll trim it for you, no judgment.

Should I shave between appointments?

Step away from the razor! Shaving resets the clock and makes regrowth coarser. Stick to regular waxing and your hair will thank you by growing back finer and sparser.

Can I get waxed on my period?

Yes! Just wear a tampon or cup and you’re good to go. Heads up: skin can be a little more sensitive that time of the month, so you may feel it a bit more.

Is there anything that would stop me from getting waxed?

Yes, so be honest with us. Tell your waxologist if you use retinol or retinoid creams, are on acne medication like Accutane or blood thinners, have had a recent sunburn, or have any skin condition in the area. Some of these mean waiting before your wax. When in doubt, ask your doctor.

What’s the difference between hard and soft wax?

Hard wax hugs the hair (not the skin) and peels off without strips, which makes it perfect for sensitive spots like Brazilians and brows. Soft wax goes on thin and comes off with a strip, ideal for big areas like legs and backs. Our waxologists pick the right one for each zone.

Do you double dip?

Never. Ever. Our waxologists are certified clean freaks. Fresh applicator, every single dip. Your bits deserve better than recycled sticks.

What should I do after my wax?

Treat your fresh, smooth skin like royalty for 24 to 48 hours: no hot tubs, saunas, tanning, heavy workouts, or tight clothing on the area. Start gentle exfoliating after a couple of days to keep ingrowns away.

How often should I come back?

Every four to six weeks. Regular waxing brings hair back finer and sparser, and plenty of long-term clients stretch to six or eight weeks once their cycle settles.

How far before a vacation should I book?

Two or three days ahead. That leaves time for any redness to settle before you are in a swimsuit, and the smoothness holds for the whole trip.

What if I need to cancel?

Life happens! Just give us 24 hours’ notice so we can offer your spot to someone else. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged; you’ll see the full policy when you book.

These are just some of the most frequently asked questions we get. Feel free to contact us if you don’t find the answer you are looking for and our team will be happy to answer your questions.
